Starcomms Plans On-Line Business Support for Corporate Bodies
Starcomms, one of Nigeria's Private Telecom Operators, has concluded plans to assist its corporate subscribers in building their businesses on-line. It said that it intends to do this through the hosting services support available on the platform of its recently launched data services.
Mr. Dirk Smet, CEO of Starcomms, who disclosed this, said that this was in line with the company's vision of offering a wide range of innovative products and services that offer value for money. The Starcomms boss explained that his network plans to run its data services through the provision of connectivity and hosting services to intending customers, adding that it has installed state-of-the-art data facilities to support the planned on-line business support. The on-line business support by Starcomms, according to Mr. Smet, would be driven by three-pronged hosting services plans which include Shared Hosting, Virtual Private Servers and Managed Hosting. Under the Shared Hosting plan, Starcomms will provide high-quality hosting support services to subscribers on the UNIX and Windows 2003 platforms. With Virtual Private Servers (VPS), there will be dedicated hosting platform for large organizations which have the need to grow their websites' functionality. Finally, the Managed Hosting plan allows subscribers to place their hosting needs in the hands of experts (Starcomms), who would ensure subscribers satisfaction as well as the provision of unique opportunity to maximize their (subscribers) websites' possibilities. Mr. Smet further explained that subscribers would also enjoy unlimited data capabilities and e-mail management on the Managed Hosting platform. |
