Former Commonwealth Secretary General
Chief Emeka Anyaoku, is expected to chair the Nigerian
Economic Summit Group (NESG) annual general meeting
(AGM) scheduled to hold on March 20, at the Gloden Gate
Resturant, Lagos.
A statement made avialable to THISDAY yesterday said
Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, just promoted vice president
and corporate secretary, the World Bank Group in the
United State of America, will be sharing her thoughts,
as a Nigerian, and guest speaker, on the economic
challenges facing Nigeria and the way forward.
The AGM, the sixth since the group became a formal
organisation in 1996, will witness a change of baton
from the incumbent chairman of the board of directors,
Mr. Bunmi Oni, managing director of Cadbury Nigeria
Plc, to its new chairman, Mr. Mohammed Hayatu-Deen,
chairman of FSB International Bank Plc.
The statement also said that the NESG monthly policy
dialogue lonchoen, which most chief executive officers
(COE) and top-level ececutives from the private sector
are expected, will hold up immediately after the AGM.
