Violence-Free Polls Canvassed
From Saka Ibrahim in Gombe

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Gombe State, Alhaji Danjuma Goje, yesterday, canvassed for a violence-free election in the country, just as he distributed 11 Toyota campaign buses to his local government campaign co-ordinators.

The PDP candidate also inaugurated 21 election committees that are to facilitate his chances at the polls.

Speaking at the occasion, Goje appealed to politicians to eschew violence at all cost so that the 2003 elections will be a success.

The rest are transport, legal, mobilisation, elders, research and planning, Christian contact, Muslim contact, public service and youth mobilisation.
